My primary goal is to help my clients achieve their targets safely and effectively.
Building a strong relationship with my clients from the get go is the foundation for success. Our relationship is built on honesty, communication, trust and mutual respect for one another.
By understanding your unique needs and preferences, I am able to tailor personalised programmes that cater to your individual goals and overcome any obstacles or personal challenges we may encounter.
Fitness is a journey, and we need a supportive, creative and encouraging environment to prosper, and stay committed to our goals.

To help my clients learn and achieve their goals, I make it a priority to actively listen to them, understand their needs, strengths, weaknesses and beliefs.
I provide a lot of feedback on 1:1 sessions and via the app you can send me videos clips of your workouts, so I can watch how you are performing exercises that I ask you to do, and guide to you. This helps me understand you, and personalise my training style to meet your specific needs.
Teaching techniques; all exercises come with written and video/audio instructions for our visual and kinaesthetic learners. I find providing visual learning is most beneficial for clients to learn proper form, promote recovery and minimise any chance of injury.
Goal setting and motivation are critical to achieving your targets. It is essential for maintaining progress and adherence to a programme. I employ SMART goals in this process. Is it Specific? Measurable? Achievable? Relevant? Timed? We will talk more about this when you join.
Motivation; it's complex, and different for everyone. By listening to what you want to achieve and need, I will do my best to keep you motivated. Social support is a big factor in this, and I have a private forum of clients you can join to chat with and share wins, progress and tips with. and praise one another on your objectives and achievements.
Self confidence is something we all lack at some point in our lives. I believe in building you up with positive reinforcement to build your self efficacy and confidence.
Open communication is the foundation on which I base all my client/trainer relationships. Helping you understand your goals, keeping things realistic and having a deep understanding of your needs and preferences is paramount in helping me design your personalised programme and for you to adhere to it. I want you to feel heard, supported and empowered to reach those goals! You can reach out to me via the app at any time. And I will be in touch frequently.
Form and technique are critical to training effectively and safely. By taking the time to teach 1:1 clients in-person and providing the resources for all clients, both online and gym based via the app to learn proper form and techniques, we can prevent injury and maximise the benefits of each exercise. Using proper form and technique means you'll hit those targeted muscle groups effectively and get the results you want. Bad form can lead to injury, and your body compensating in other areas, leading to unnecessary stress on joints and ligaments leading to time down. Always follow instructions carefully and diligently.
The science behind training is crucial in gaining success. With my experience and your commitment. Our goal setting, communication and feedback, I will help you reach those goals. Mastering form and technique, with positive reinforcement, developing healthy habits towards nutrition and overall wellness.

I do not deliver standardized plans for everyone, unlike some coaches and automated platforms. We will work together taking into account everything you tell me, to build a plan that is manageable, and most importantly achievable.
Now, let's get off on the right foot here by being realistic! Goals do not happen overnight, and a genuine commitment of at least 3 months will be required to start seeing results. I do not, and will not promise or promote miracles when it comes to training, we all have our limitations. Let's be real, results come from your hard work, tenacity, and commitment. Combined together, with my guidance and experience we will do our best to get you to your goals. But all the hard work comes from you!
Initially I will carry out an assessment, where we will discuss your current fitness level, experience and goals. Then, if we are a suitable fit I will plan those goals realistically.
If you are here for rapid fat loss, you're in the wrong place. At Norwich Wellness I do not focus on rapid fat loss or quick fixes! Why? Quite simply, there aren't any, and any trainer who tells you otherwise is full of shit!
We work on whole body wellness and your goals. Always try and remember to think of the bigger picture. Have patience, and trust the process. Rome most definitely was not built in a day, and neither is wellness and recovery. It takes time and dedication.
So, whether you are looking to build healthy lean mass, reduce body fat over a realistic and healthy time frame. Or to build your body back up after an illness, like CV19, I am here to help guide you through.
All coaching, for fitness, wellness or for Long covid CFS/ME coaching, include a full plan tailored holistically around your capabilities and goals.
All plans are delivered via my app, so a smartphone or computer with good WiFi will be needed to access these, and to update me with your progress each week.
From these results, I will adjust your plan accordingly for progression towards your goal. We will also have a full review once a month.
Do not expect to be put through your paces immediately, or for me to give you a 'beasting'. I am not one of 'those' trainers. I've had clients come to me with all sorts of musculoskeletal issues after a PT has overloaded them, overworked them and set their plans way to advanced for their current fitness level. It destroys peoples ambition and motivation. We start at a base level you decide, with my guidance and build up gradually, allowing your body to adapt, build and recover properly between workouts. If you see someone saying they're in agony after a workout, or they 'can't walk properly after leg day'. They need a new PT! That's not how we build muscle and stamina in the professional industry.
For all my clients, my professional standpoint is to assess your current activity level, and energy expenditure. Establish your current, realistic baseline and what you can manage, without burnout, demotivation or injury. From here, and only after we have both agreed, you will very steadily increase output one step at a time.
So many remote PT plans these days are designed as a blanket 'one size fits all' style affair, with the same plans being sent out to all new starters, without taking into consideration the individual needs of the client. There are no bots or Ai involved in your plan from Norwich Wellness, I'm keeping it all organic, and person centered. You can message me during the week with questions, and to update me of anything.
I keep my client list relatively small so I can offer my best quality service to each of you, personally, without diluting my standards.
All of your information will be kept entirely confidential, unless requested by and agreed with you to be shared with another health professional. I am GDPR compliant. And have an enhanced DBS check for your peace of mind.
I am an EDI ally at my NHS job. And head of photography for Norwich Pride. As a queer person myself I have undertaken LGBTQIA+ awareness training to better understand and support my siblings. We are all human, lets respect one another with the humanity we all deserve. Everyone is welcome!
